Japan, Mikawa Sportsland   Leave a comment

After sleeping in till lunch time, we decided to spend the rainy afternoon up at the closest track which was Mikawa.

A pretty entertaining winding drive lead us up the hills for about 50 minutes, until we were greeted with an totally empty track.

After a drivers briefing where I couldn’t understand anything except the guy pointing at the straight and saying “no manji”, he let me out on the track. It was 3pm until I was driving, and it gets totally dark in Japan at 5.

It was really wet, and the surface was ultra slippery in areas, but with 2 hours on such a windy track, it was an awesome change to what we are used to here in NZ. I had never seen anyone drive here before, so I just decided to enter straight after the barrier, where the track guy said I was allowed to start drifting.

Heres a quick clip
